Kursziel
Der GWGK-Kurs bereitet Sie auf Feldinstallationen, Konfiguration und Betrieb der Voice Gateways und Gatekeepers in Firmen- und Service Provider-Umgebungen vor. Der Kurs basiert u.a. auf den Empfehlungen des "Cisco IP-Telephony-Solutions Reference Design Guide" (SRND) und allgemeinen Standards des ITU und IETF. Der Kurs geht auch auf alle Themen ein, die im gleichnamigen GWGK Test (642-452) abgefragt werden, so dass die Teilnahme ein gute Vorbereitung für das Examen ist. Dieser Test ist Vorrausetzung für die Cisco Certified Voice Over IP Professional (CCVP) Zertifizierung. Während des Kurse werden in intensiven Theorie- und Praxisübungen das Überwachen, Konfigurieren von Wählplänen, Verbinden zu Service Providern und die Fehlersuche in Voice Gateways und zentralen sowie dezentralen Gatekeeper Umgebungen trainiert.

Besuch der Kurse CVOICE, CIPT und QOS.

- Explain the function and interoperation of Gateways within a converged network
- Configure and implement a DSPFarm to support specified requirements
- Explain the function and interoperation of Gatekeepers within a converged network
- Determine the relevant technical and business needs that affect the choice of Gateway features, protocols and placement
- Determine the relevant technical and business needs that affect the choice of Gatekeeper features and placement
- Configure and implement a Gateway to interface with the PSTN
- Configure and implement a Gateway to interface with a PBX and voice mail system
- Design and deploy a dial-plan to meet specific requirements
- Implement extended services on the Gateway including Auto Attendant and Accounting/Billing
- Design and deploy redundant Gateway configurations to provide high availability
- Design and deploy redundant Gatekeeper configurations to provide high availability
- Configure and implement Gateways and Gatekeepers within a managed services or service provider environment environment
