Your training with us: process and content

No two training courses with us are the same. Because every person who comes to us has their own ideas about where they want to go professionally. We want to help you achieve this goal in the best possible way with our training courses. This is made possible by our modular course system, among other things.

Modular further training

Thanks to our modular course system in our training courses and courses tailored to your needs. You can book your desired training course as an individual course, combine several courses or attend the complete course.

In concrete terms, this means that in training modules lasting between one week and three months, you will acquire skills and certificates that will help you in your job or career. As a career changer, you can also complete comprehensive training courses lasting 7 to 12 months. Depending on your training needs and job objectives, we will put together an individual training plan for you.

Our trainers provide you with relevant knowledge for your profession. They focus primarily on practical skills and key competencies for the digital world of work.

Final examination and certificates

Many of our courses end with a certification exam, which you can pass to gain internationally recognized certificates from market leaders such as Microsoft, SAP® or Oracle. You show that you have qualified technical, methodological and product knowledge – and become an attractive applicant or employee. You will also receive a GFN certificate of attendance.

If no certification exam takes place, you will be issued with a GFN certificate upon completion and successful completion of the exam. It serves as proof of the skills you have acquired. This way you can prove that you are the right person for the position during the application process or in the event of an upcoming promotion.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) on the subject of further training

Some training courses are designed for beginners and do not require any special prior knowledge or educational qualifications. Other courses require a specific school/professional qualification or are specifically aimed at people with several years of professional experience who are interested in further training.

The minimum requirement for all courses is participation in a non-binding consultation. As the language of instruction is German, with a few exceptions, a good knowledge of German is also a prerequisite for most further education courses.

The best way to find out about the respective requirements is to read the course descriptions. Of course, our advisors will also be happy to provide you with information.

We not only impart knowledge, but are also committed to the professional goals of our participants. Almost all of our graduates start a job with a secure future after completing their training.

The terms “further training” and “continuing education” are hardly differentiated from each other in everyday language. However, there is one important difference.

Further vocational training is designed to prepare you for specific tasks, new technologies or more responsibility in your current job. It requires a professional qualification and relevant professional experience. By training in your profession, you secure your continued employment (adaptation training) and can also move up the career ladder (higher-qualification vocational training). The training costs are usually borne by the employer.

You can also deepen or expand your existing knowledge and skills with further vocational training – regardless of whether you are currently employed or what you do for a living. Further training therefore provides you with skills for your professional future that go beyond your current job or the profession you have learned.

By continuing your education, you broaden your skillset, create additional career prospects and increase your chances of entry or promotion.

A consultation is the easiest way to have a direct and effective exchange. Our experienced consultants will introduce you to the various further training options and explain the process of further training at GFN. They take time for you and your questions. Together you will discuss which further training could be the right one for you and your goals.

You will also receive detailed advice on funding opportunities – free of charge and without any obligation, of course. The necessary steps up to the start of the course are also discussed.
